Abstract:

Community-Based Forest Management developed fifteen years ago and became the trendsetter of forest management model in Java. The primary condition which operates well done of Community Based Forest Management (CBFM) has been stakeholders readiness included of Forest Farmer Group as known LMDH (Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan). This research was aimed to discover the stock social capital of LMDH will be implemented CBFM in a field with productivity, equity and sustainability indicators. The method used in this study was descriptive analysis for estimating stock social capital by the survey, and focus group discusses and observation. The result showed that LMDH with bridging social capital type could operate CBFM better than LMDH with bonding social capital type. The capacity of LMDH with bridging social capital to well-done CBFM cause trust, norms and networkings grew and developed in the community
